When we helped pioneer the Customer Data Platform (CDP) category, the mission was clear: unify fragmented customer data so teams could finally see the full picture & segment. That worked up to a point.
Enterprises now have solid data foundations: warehouses, MDM, CDPs. In parallel, the GTM side exploded with powerful, channel-specific tools Marketing Clouds, CRMs, ad platforms, content and journey tools while AI search and discovery reshaped the entire customer journey.
We used to drag customers to our properties sites, apps, landing pages. Now you have to take capabilities to where they already live: agent/app ecosystems, workflow-native GPTs, and search/ad surfaces with decisions embedded at the edge. One critical layer never emerged to keep up with this shift:
